Fishing in Rhode Island

Rhode Island is small but pure salt-and-fresh diversity. Narragansett Bay, Block Island Sound, and the Atlantic shoreline run striped bass, scup, black sea bass, fluke, and false albacore. Block Island Wall and the Brenton Reef rip are bucket-list striper spots. Inland, the Wood and Pawcatuck rivers hold stocked trout and smallmouth. Worden Pond and the state's freshwater ponds give up bass, pickerel, and panfish. The whole state can be fished in a long weekend.
