Fishing in Georgia

Georgia stretches from cool Blue Ridge trout streams to a productive saltwater coast. North Georgia's Toccoa, Chattahoochee headwaters, and Chattooga rivers hold wild and stocked trout. Lakes Lanier, Hartwell, and Clarks Hill grow striped bass, spotted bass, and crappie. Lake Seminole and the Flint River are big-bass destinations. The coastal sounds and inshore creeks around St. Simons and Sapelo offer redfish, seatrout, flounder, and tripletail, with offshore live-bottoms producing snapper, grouper, and king mackerel.
